2026-09-30 · Creator Publishing Hub publishing plugin, Taylor Assistant Access

The publishing plugin and Taylor extension now share a date-based release number that appears in WordPress and the shared site dashboard.

What changed

• Replaced the legacy publishing-plugin version 1.1.65 and Taylor version 0.3.0 with 2026.9.30.01. Future releases use year.month.day.revision.
• Aligned the publishing and Taylor extension files across the six managed CPH publishing sites. Previously, matching version labels could hide different installed code.
• Included the reviewed Creator Newsdesk changes that let an article proceed independently of a separate Story. Requested article media and existing sourcing, editorial and legal checks still apply.
• Confirmed publication state before reporting a publishing action as successful.
• Added a release builder that rejects mismatched source, plugin-header, runtime and component-catalog versions.

Verification

• 496 PHP checks and the separate settings suite passed.
• Live version responses matched on all six managed sites, and the shared dashboard reported no version mismatches.
• The published plugin package matched its recorded SHA-256 checksum. File and database backups were taken before installation.

Rollout

Verified on Creator Publishing Hub, Creator Newsdesk, The Factology Daily, Credit Repair Choices, The Daily Smirk and Love Lies Abroad on September 30, 2026.

Updating

• The publishing plugin uses the existing WordPress update channel. Taylor Assistant Access is a must-use extension installed through the managed site deployment process.
• Back up the site before updating and confirm the installed version afterward. Contact CPH support if an installation still reports the older release.
• Every future first-party update requires public version notes here, including the affected products, changes, verification, rollout status and any update requirements.

Scope and limitations

• This release covers the publishing plugin and Taylor extension. Other CPH extensions and third-party plugins have their own releases.
• Release verification does not mean that a new article, social post, payment or generated-media delivery was performed.
