A targeted query optimization prevents repeated taxonomy scans from monopolizing shared website capacity.
What changed
- Uses the existing primary index for the verified Newsdesk taxonomy and redirected-post query.
- Preserves post selection, redirect exclusions, ordering, counts and pagination. No article or customer data changes.
Verification
- 25 query contracts and PHP syntax checks passed.
- A native WordPress check confirmed only the intended join hint changes; a bounded native read completed in approximately 0.05 seconds.
- Installed source matches the reviewed release hash. The Hub voice gallery and reporting endpoint returned normally after targeted recovery of confirmed stalled read queries.
Rollout
Deployed and verified on Creator Newsdesk only. The targeted guard is installed, and shared public website responses recovered. No database schema or article data changes were made.
Updating
- Install only the site-specific guard. No schema migration or update to other sites is required.
Scope and limitations
- Existing in-flight requests do not load newly installed hooks. Recovery of confirmed stalled reads is recorded separately.
- This optimization targets the verified query shape and leaves unfamiliar queries unchanged.
