2026-10-10 ยท OG Images Free, CPH Sitemap Free
Separate optional Free plugins add approved local social images and native XML sitemap setup to the LocalPro WordPress bundle.
What changed
- Requires WordPress 7.1.3 and PHP 8.3; the recorded runtime was WordPress 7.1.3, PHP 8.3.35 and MariaDB 10.11.19.
- OG Images Free supports ten managed public links, local Media Library images, required alternative text and explicit image approval. Managed images use exactly 1200 by 630 pixels, at most 8 MiB.
- Image approvals bind the file bytes. Changed files or private, password-protected and noindex content remain ineligible for this plugin's public overrides. Native featured images can be used when no managed entry exists.
- Social metadata uses supported SEO owner hooks and preserves native SEO descriptions, canonical tags and text unless a social title override is explicitly entered. Multiple detected owners pause the Free plugin's overrides; unknown owners have an explicit external-owner choice.
- CPH Sitemap Free retains WordPress's native XML generator, identifies an existing SEO or external owner, supports excluded post/page IDs and retains the site's visibility choice.
- The sitemap settings screen uses the actual core status and index URL APIs, including both query-based plain permalinks and path-based pretty permalinks.
- Activation creates only each plugin's empty option. These builds do not enroll services, import content, create users or schedules, change login branding or require credentials.
Verification
- 117 isolated checks passed for native output, supported SEO hook contracts, owner conflicts, current WordPress sitemap status/index API names, plain/pretty XML links and private-site behavior. These are distinct from full third-party runtime tests.
- 62 real WordPress checks passed for local media validation, required approval/alternative text, the ten-link limit, changed-byte denial, public/private/password/noindex policy, inherited image-parent privacy, settings permissions and actual core sitemap provider exclusions/allowlists.
- The official Yoast SEO 28.6 package matched all 1,938 versioned WordPress.org file checksums. Thirteen native integration checks passed for single image/title output, preserved canonical/native description, changed-byte/conflict/noindex handling and XML ownership delegation.
- All five Free-plugin PHP source files and the administration JavaScript passed syntax checks. Both supplied gettext templates passed validation. All 86 installed LocalPro/companion/Free source files and nested ZIPs matched the reviewed archives with zero extras.
- Native Media Library selection and approval saved successfully, with a 1/10 approved local entry. The social preview and buyer guide rendered cleanly at 1200, 390 and 320 pixels. No horizontal page overflow was present; rendered Free administration resources stayed on the private fixture origin.
- Actual core XML indexes for plain and pretty permalinks and four child maps returned 200 and parsed as valid XML. Private native XML returned 404 and its settings link was absent. Chrome blocked XML navigation; XML verification used actual HTTP responses.
Rollout
Prepared as separate optional Free packages for the LocalPro 1.0.2 customer download. Marketplace submission and review are separate from package verification. No automatic update rollout is configured.
Updating
- Back up and test on staging. Upload the individual plugin ZIPs under Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and activate only the extras you want.
- Settings > OG Images Free: keep one metadata owner, choose a local image, enter alternative text, review the preview and explicitly approve it. Inspect actual public page source and refresh existing page/social caches separately.
- Settings > CPH Sitemap Free: review owner and visibility, keep one XML owner, and optionally exclude post/page IDs. Open the core-provided XML link when WordPress owns the sitemap.
- Saved settings and media remain after deactivation. These products do not provide an automatic update service or erase user media on plugin deletion.
Scope and limitations
- These are separate reduced Free products. OG Images is owned by MatthewxMurphy.com; CPH Sitemap Free is owned by CreatorPublishingHub.com. Developer and copyright credit: Matthew X Murphy. Code license: GPL-2.0-or-later; upstream attribution is preserved.
- No Pro calendar, generated images, private fleet service, AI sitemap, llms.txt, IndexNow or license-activation service is included.
- Unknown theme/SEO systems may require the external-owner choice. Existing SEO owners retain responsibility for their native image fallback, sitemap privacy and exclusions.
- When WordPress owns XML, filters apply to published viewable post/page candidates and retained Yoast, Rank Math and legacy AIOSEO noindex post metadata. Core taxonomy and author providers otherwise retain WordPress behavior. Excluding content from XML does not make the content private.
- A sitemap's availability does not establish search-engine indexing. Social previews can stay cached independently of local metadata.
- Full Rank Math and AIOSEO runtimes were not installed in the native fixture; their integrations receive isolated hook contract checks. Paid Elementor Pro and WPBakery editor workflows are outside this release's verification.
