2026-10-01 · Creator Publishing Hub Social Desk, Taylor inbox coordinator
Social Desk now has retained conversation archives, work priorities and site labels so the owner and Taylor can organize requests across publishing and migration work.
What changed
- Add reversible conversation archiving with a separate archived view. Original messages and replies are retained; archiving does not mark an issue resolved.
- Add Urgent, High, Normal and Low priorities with filtering and priority ordering.
- Add site-domain labels and filtering for organizing work beyond the original six publishing sites, including migration projects.
- Make the Request Codex review control available to Matthew and Taylor. This queues a review request within the existing permissions and worker limits.
- Keep the inbox coordinator aware of archived work so older findings do not return as new work merely because the active view was cleared.
Verification
- The full local test suite completed with 574 passing checks, one Linux-only check skipped on macOS, and no failures. Coverage includes conversation archives, priorities, owner review requests and inbox coordination.
- JavaScript and Python syntax checks, the interface feature contract, change validation and the credential scan passed before packaging.
- All 575 checks passed during both Linux release verification and installation. The running service, installed file hashes and served dashboard files matched the release.
- All eight main dashboard views passed browser checks. Active and archived inbox controls worked, and a saved High priority remained after reloading.
- The captured backlog was archived with original reports retained. Reports received after the snapshot stayed active. The existing hourly inbox check resumed, and empty checks did not start a model run.
Rollout
Deployed and verified on October 1, 2026 for the managed Social Desk and its Mac inbox coordinator. Public notes were published before distribution and updated after live verification. This release does not change the installed versions of the WordPress publishing plugins.
Updating
- Social Desk and the inbox coordinator are updated through the managed deployment process. Preserve conversation stores and inbox receipts when updating.
- Refresh the dashboard after deployment to load the updated controls. Existing publishing-site WordPress plugins do not receive a new version from this Social Desk release.
- Keep this permanent release page and earlier entries available. This rollout status covers the managed installation; other installations require their own version and behavior checks.
Scope and limitations
- Speaker names and domain labels organize work; they do not authenticate an owner or grant production authority. A saved request is not proof that an agent ran or that a fix was completed.
- Archiving retains history and does not resolve findings, publish content or clear editorial requirements.
- Domain labels do not connect or deploy a migration site. This release does not establish preview DNS records or change live root or www records.
- Archived conversations still count toward the existing 300-thread storage limit; archiving does not create additional storage capacity.
- Rollback requires a compatible history and receipt reader. Do not replace current history with an older snapshot.
- The existing limit of two automatic inbox wake attempts per day remains in place, alongside separate worker claim limits, connectivity requirements and owner permissions.
