2026-10-07 · Personal Social Desk, Social Desk Browser Worker
One selected job per browser, shared collection targets and stricter birthday delivery evidence for an owner-controlled rollout.
What changed
- Adds a shared coordinator so browser installations can select a job and reserve distinct creator sources or public profile targets.
- Keeps follower-list collection and sending jobs exclusive; creator research permits up to three browsers, and profile review defaults to two with a maximum of three.
- Preserves exact target claims, durable retry receipts, protected-person evidence and the existing profile scanner admission safeguards.
- Requires the intended recipient’s visible Facebook birthday confirmation and a matching saved final receipt before reporting a completed greeting.
- Retains uncertain final birthday audits under their original attempt IDs, allowing receipt recovery without submitting the greeting again.
- Includes setup, recovery and API documentation plus an isolated synthetic three-browser showcase.
Verification
- The complete local application suite passed 1,091 tests with one platform-specific skip and no failures (1,092 total).
- All 62 focused birthday/background checks and independent review passed, including exact native confirmation, undated namesakes, alternate profile URLs, replaced cards, uncertain final acknowledgement and no duplicate native submission.
- Syntax checks passed for 237 JavaScript and 14 Python files. Feature preservation passed for nine views, 98 controls, 17 selectors, 184 routes and 264 required files.
- Controlled backend installation passed all 1,092 application tests, 20 scanner tests and seven Python tests. Installed and served source checksums matched the reviewed package; all nine PWA views opened without console errors. The 136 existing birthday receipts remained unchanged.
Rollout
The shared backend is installed and verified at 2026.10.07.005. The reviewed browser package is prepared; manual Chrome loading, birthday-role assignment and a fresh installation capture are pending. No new greeting was sent during this rollout. Existing native greetings do not establish delivery by the new worker.
Updating
- The backend and participating browser installations must use the reviewed version and the same private connection. Preserve existing records, browser profiles and birthday history.
- Fresh installations start paused. Select one job explicitly and verify its durable lease and fresh capture before enabling any separately authorized sending.
- Disable overlapping legacy birthday automation before assigning the birthday role. This role permits at most one managed holder.
- Load or reload the unpacked browser add-on manually, then verify the displayed calendar version and the intended Facebook personal account.
Scope and limitations
- Missing engagement records remain unknown; partial roster observations cannot establish an unfollow or justify removing a follower.
- Profile collection remains held until its shared budget and original scanner-lock admission are configured and verified. Existing authentication stops and cooldowns remain effective.
- Birthday sending retains its existing hourly/daily spacing limits. There is no recipient selector or hard single-greeting pilot mode.
- Native account readiness, plugin installation and delivery require independent live checks. Already greeted birthday cards must be skipped.
