2026-10-05 · OG Images by MatthewxMurphy.com, OG Images seasonal calendar service
Seasonal share-image skins and a readiness calendar join the Pro workspace, while Free now manages 10 links. Administrators choose the holidays, review the artwork, and retain control over when seasonal images can replace their normal previews.
What changed
- OG Images remains owned, developed and copyrighted by MatthewxMurphy.com. Existing package identifiers and update-service addresses are preserved for compatibility.
- Free manages 10 links, while an existing valid Pro entitlement continues to unlock unlimited links. Additional saved links, artwork and review history are preserved when a plan changes or expires. The client also contains plan-aware controls for future standalone Pro and Developer offers; their commercial service is not part of this rollout.
- The Pro workspace shows expanded saved Open Graph and Twitter card details, image properties, findings and review freshness.
- The Pro workspace adds nine seasonal skins: Halloween cobwebs, winter snow, Valentine hearts, U.S. Independence Day fireworks, spring flowers, summer sunshine, autumn leaves, New Year stars and St. Patrick’s Day shamrocks. The same capability is included in the prepared Developer client tier.
- The calendar shows upcoming events and which discovered pages have missing artwork, variants awaiting review, approved variants, stale variants, or work held by locks and active assignments. Coverage includes the checked-page count and the observation time.
- Server calendar rules are evaluated in each website’s WordPress timezone. Administrators opt into individual recurring events and choose automatic switching or manual holiday activation. Seasonal switching starts disabled.
- Seasonal variants are separate images made from approved normal artwork. Preparation does not approve or activate an image. Each variant needs an explicit review bound to its actual saved image before selection.
- When an enabled event ends or seasonal switching is disabled, the worker restores the recorded normal image when the original bytes still match and it still owns the current selection. Newer manual choices, page and site locks, active assignments and uncertain-operation holds remain protected.
- The separate seasonal calendar service supplies public event rules without exposing customer or license information. Existing private fleet access, owner grants and technical integration identities remain supported.
Verification
- Source regression suites passed for plan limits, licensing, media validation, metadata ownership, seasonal calendars, image composition, access control, operation receipts and management isolation.
- An isolated WordPress rehearsal passed 67 seasonal lifecycle checks: preparation, explicit review, native Open Graph and Twitter image selection, repeat-request handling, restoration, expired-calendar behavior, locks, manual changes and bounded inventory processing.
- Both merchant-first and plugin-first load orders passed 21 native WordPress integration checks each during isolated candidate testing. The public calendar response validated correctly and calendar changes retained owner authorization. The live rollout uses only the dedicated calendar service adapter, not the full merchant candidate.
- Isolated browser checks covered the calendar, review dialog, Free-plan explanation and mobile layout. Live browser verification on TaylorxQuinn.com confirmed version 2026.10.05.010, Free’s 10-link limit and nine preserved saved records.
- The dedicated calendar adapter passed 61 isolated native WordPress checks, including standalone loading, coexistence with the customer plugin and deferred loading when a future merchant server is already present.
- All eight installed packages passed exact file checks and native WordPress administrator rendering. Existing licenses, settings, locks and 22,926 saved inventory records were preserved. All 32 public CSS/JavaScript assets matched the release package, and all eight seasonal status routes enforced authentication. Six captured homepage baselines retained identical titles, canonical URLs and Open Graph/Twitter metadata.
- The live calendar service returned nine validated rules and rejected unauthenticated changes. On Creator Publishing Hub, one native administrator synchronization and bounded readiness scan checked all 15 stored URLs without generating or changing artwork. Content, image metadata, licenses and settings were unchanged, seasonal switching remained disabled, and its temporary scan timer cleared.
Rollout
Deployed to all eight existing installations: Creator Publishing Hub, Creator Newsdesk, The Factology Daily, The Daily Smirk, Love Lies Abroad, Credit Repair Choices, BoldTeeHub and TaylorxQuinn.com. Package, native WordPress and public endpoint verification passed at each destination. The dedicated calendar service is live; the merchant package is unchanged. Interactive browser verification is complete on Taylor’s Free installation; live Pro dashboard browser review remains outstanding, with its native renderer and calendar workflow verified. No additional website was enrolled or installed. Previous artifacts and per-site rollback backups are retained.
Updating
- Back up the installed plugin and affected database before updating, retain earlier release artifacts, and compare the package checksum with its release manifest.
- Update the existing cph-og-images package in place. Its technical name and update service remain unchanged. Preserve existing settings, licenses, saved inventory and artwork.
- The matching seasonal calendar service must be available for calendar synchronization. It is deployed separately from the customer plugin. Existing license and private-fleet services retain their current configuration; the unshipped commercial merchant candidate is not a required incidental update.
- After updating, check the installed version, rendered OG Images dashboard, existing license mode, saved images and public share-image metadata. Free now shows 10 manageable links; previously saved items outside that view are retained.
- For seasonal use, check the server calendar, select the desired events, prepare variants from reviewed normal artwork, review each variant, then enable automatic switching or manually activate an enabled holiday during its calendar window.
- Seasonal composition requires PHP GD with lossless WebP support and suitable 1200 × 630 normal artwork. Unsupported, animated or unnormalized images require preparation before a seasonal variant can be made.
- Existing owner Pro grants remain intact. TaylorxQuinn.com remains on Free with all nine saved inventory rows, and BoldTeeHub’s site lock remains enabled. Seasonal switching remains disabled on all eight sites; an administrator must select events and approve the artwork before using it.
Scope and limitations
- Paid customer checkout, commercial Pro and Developer activation, customer key fulfillment and customer Developer management remain unavailable pending their separate service rollout and payment verification. The prepared Pro client tier supports one site; the prepared Developer tier supports 15 sites with unlimited links per site. Existing valid owner and Pro entitlements remain in force. This release does not change audio subscriptions or their allowances.
- The first readiness scan checks at most 500 stored pages. Worker passes process at most 50 pages and depend on WordPress cron execution. Large inventories require multiple passes; readiness covers discovered inventory, not an assumed complete website.
- Automatic mode selects only approved current variants. It does not generate or approve missing artwork, publish posts, or reshare content. Seasonal skins are static images, not animated previews.
- Locks, active assignments, uncertain receipts or a newer manual selection can hold activation or restoration beyond a holiday boundary. A stale or invalid calendar cannot authorize new seasonal activation.
- Live metadata and a saved image do not prove that Facebook or another service has refreshed its preview cache. Third-party refresh timing is outside the plugin’s control.
- Existing private-fleet behavior is preserved. The prepared customer Developer roster and management queue remain dormant until a separate authorized service rollout and site opt-in. Remote software updates across websites are not implemented. Northern Hemisphere seasons and named cultural holidays are optional calendar choices.
- The live Pro dashboard still needs an interactive browser review. Its native administrator renderer, calendar synchronization and bounded readiness scan passed. No holiday was enabled and no seasonal image was generated or approved during deployment.
