2026-10-05 ยท CPH License Commerce, CPH Pro Access customer interface candidate
Prepares configurable monthly audio plans with weekly allowances and administrator-granted complimentary refill credits. Customer enrollment remains closed.
What changed
- Adds Hub administrator controls for monthly prices, weekly allowances and the UTC reset day and hour. Initial plans provide 100 articles each week for $9.99 per month, 500 for $39.99 per month, or 1,000 for $69.99 per month. No fourth plan is offered.
- Pools the weekly allowance across the activated sites of one Pro license. Unused weekly allowance does not roll over. Catalog changes apply to future agreements; an existing agreement retains its recorded price, weekly allowance and reset policy.
- Adds complimentary credits that a Hub administrator can grant with a recorded reason. Each credit can refill the current weekly allowance once while a paid plan is active, without charging the customer or changing the subscription renewal date. Unused credits remain available until redeemed.
- Preserves completed usage history and outstanding reservations when a credit is redeemed. Stable operation identifiers and per-license database locks protect retries and simultaneous requests. Existing work on an expired or revoked entitlement has a separate administrator-only reconciliation path.
- Prepares a customer interface that reads current plan descriptions from the Hub and uses the existing site-bound Pro license credential for allowance status and an explicitly granted refill. This credential does not grant a WordPress administrator role.
Verification
- Source review covers administrator and license authentication, frozen purchase terms, subscription evidence, retry behavior, weekly boundaries and preservation of work already reserved.
- Passed 60 offline pricing checks, 27 pricing checks in isolated WordPress, and 84 allowance checks against a real isolated database, including simultaneous requests on separate connections.
- Passed 58 existing license integration checks, 22 checkout checks with the commerce feature enabled and 3 with it disabled, 28 customer client checks, and 25 administrator and API control checks. These are isolated checks, not live payment-provider tests.
- Passed 24 generated administrator-markup checks covering form protection, revision fields, input labels, disclosures and safe error display. The installed Hub version, 12 package-file hashes, transactional storage and saved plan settings were verified after deployment. A read-only preview of markup captured from the deployed PHP was inspected in a browser with form nonces removed; the authenticated live administrator page has not been reviewed.
- The live plan API returned HTTP 200 with the three configured monthly prices, full weekly allowances and enrollment closed. An unauthenticated allowance-status request returned HTTP 503 with the service-unavailable response while the service flags remain off. No live customer charge, recurring payment or audio fulfillment is claimed.
Rollout
Installed on the Creator Publishing Hub merchant backend and verified at 19:47 UTC on October 5, 2026, after the permanent release page and index link were published and verified. Saved settings match the three advertised initial prices and weekly allowances, with Monday 00:00 UTC resets. Both commerce service flags remain off. The customer Pro interface remains an undeployed source candidate; customer enrollment and checkout are closed, and the Muse worker connection is pending. No customer site or narration worker was updated by this release.
Updating
- Publish and verify this permanent version page and its index link before distributing the update. Keep the earlier release artifacts and notes available.
- Back up the merchant plugin and database before the Hub-only update. Verify the saved catalog and administrator controls after deployment; retain existing license records, subscription evidence and allowance history.
- Do not enable audio checkout or customer service flags as part of this update. Recurring payment enrollment, purchaser consent and worker integration require separate end-to-end verification.
Scope and limitations
- These plans are configured monthly prices with full weekly allowances, not an open checkout offer. Stripe and Amazon Pay purchase and renewal flows have not been certified by this release.
- The allowance ledger is prepared for narration integration; this update does not connect a generation worker, start audio jobs or demonstrate paid customer fulfillment.
- A complimentary credit restores the current weekly allowance once; it does not erase usage history, remove outstanding work, extend paid eligibility or accumulate unused weekly capacity.
- The prior network counter and homepage candidate is outside this rollout. Existing private owner entitlements and editorial approval gates remain separate.
